Bequia is one of the islands of St. Vincent and the Grenadines -

It is a volcanic island 10 km long and 3 km at its widest point.

Bequia is relatively hilly and is characterized by numerous beautiful beaches and lush vegetation. There are about 6000 inhabitants and the island is considered very secure.

Bequia is a very popular stop for sailors who sail between the Caribbean islands, with its safe haven in Admiralty Bay, and its beautiful atmosphere. The economy is mainly dependent on tourism, but boat building and fishing also contribute.

Bequia fulfills the dream of a Caribbean island with its perfect temperature and cooling breeze, which ensures that it never becomes stifling hot. The area offers sailing, snorkeling and diving in some of the most beautiful waters in the world. The island can be explored on foot, bike, or by car.

Here you can also perfect the difficult art of doing nothing. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing and it’s not hard to get in the mood of “island time”.

In Port Elizabeth there are shops, fruit markets and a number of bars and restaurants. There is also a post office, hospital and a police station.
